This 2022 Picpoul Blanc from Lonesome Vine is a delicious blend of 90% Picpoul and 10% Semillon. Crisp, bright, and refeshing, it would pair well with seafood or any dish with high acidity.
Picpoul is a variety of white grape that originated in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. The name Pique-poul literally translates as “lip stinger” due to the high acidity of the grape. It is a sometimes found as an ingredient in the wines of the Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellations of France and adapts very well to our warm Texas climates.
