I recently noticed a post on social media from Edge of the Lake Vineyard in Valley View Texas mentioning that they had just cropped the canopy on their vines to expose the fruit so it would ripen more quickly. Since we were free that weekend it looked like a great opportunity to visit and snap a few photos of the fruit at its best. I was not disappointed. After obtaining permission from vigneron Chris McIntosh I wandered the vineyard admiring the beauty of nature and snapping these images.
The vines shown in these photos are Grenache. As you can see, not all of them have fully ripened yet, but it is still a bit early. These will probably be ready for harvest within a few more weeks.
