My wife and I enjoy camping but we don’t enjoy the flies and mosquitoes that can go with it. So, we began a search to get away from the pesky critters while eating a meal or enjoying our morning coffee. Enter the Vevor 6’x6′ Tailgate Tent.
When I first received this screen tent I was tempted to return it. It seemed a bit small and I was afraid my wife and I would feel like we were sitting in a bubble. But after using it while camping last week I’m glad we kept it.
The 6×6′ interior is perfect for two people to enjoy meals or morning coffee without being bothered by flies or mosquitos. The mesh walls provide an open view on all four sides. The sides are fairly straight and there is no rainfly, so I would not expect it to be much protection from rain.
The tent is a popup type and only requires two collapsible struts across the top to hold it in place. The front has an awning (shown rolled up in the first photo) that can be setup as free-standing or attached to a car or SUV tailgate.
Take-down of the tent is a bit tricky since it must be folded exactly a certain way, similar to one of those folding fans you see in tourist shops, but I’m sure we’ll get the hang of it.
