I am a native Texan, wine writer, and long-time wine enthusiast. I hold a Level 2 Award in Wine from the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust (WSET), a Level 2 Texas Wine Specialist certificate from the Texas Wine School, and an Ambassador of Texas Wine certificate from the William Chris Wine School. My current study path is for the Certified Specialist of Wine program from the Society of Wine Educators.
As empty nesters with six grown kids and twelve grandkids, my wife Libby and I enjoy travel, both domestic and abroad, and are continually in search of the perfect dining experience. We think nothing of driving an hour or two to eat at a favorite restaurant or enjoy a glass in a tasting room. Travel, for us, is not about the destination. It’s all about the journey.
